Let's Talk About Sox!
We were very excited when Mike Lowell agreed to pose for our Red Sox issue. I was happy to hear that the magazine loved the results so much that they decided to do a split run, which we had never done. For the first time in the Improper's history, half of the magazines hit the streets with one shot, half with another. I felt very fortunate to have met and photograph Boston Red Sox's MVP Mike Lowell at Spring Training in Fort Meyers Florida this month. Not only is Mike one of the nicest guys around, he is a four-time All Star, and also a cancer survivor. In 2001 Lowell and his wife Bertha, launched the Mike Lowell Foundation, which supports low-income families in Miami and Boston struggling with the disease. My hat goes off to them for their charitable efforts. Stay tuned for some out takes from the shoot.
